How much money for making the FQR and 1st Round Main Draw? They dont seem to put the prize money on a lot of the draws in ATP and challenger events Ive noticed?

Would imagine its a decent payday for Billy which is good to see.

Hmm, I thought surely Tommy Paul must be a WC. But I see that he was on the qualifying list, just not on the MD list.

You need to look at the PDF versions of the draws:  Billy will pocket 8,775 euros (& 10 ranking points) for reaching the FQR.  The main draw doesn't appear to be available yet, so I've no idea how how much a loss in the first round proper would be worth to him.

If Murray can get through ADM then second round looks easier then probably Fritz in QF.

Dan and Cam could meet in QF

Someone called Liz Curran is offering a free ticket on twitter for a charity tie break tens tournament this afternoon. Seems its ok to let the public in for that but not for qualifying. Makes you wonder

Isnt Liz Curran something in the LTA? A performance coach or tournament director, an ex player for sure ?

That charity event has actually been on offer to the public and was marketed as their sop to the masses - as you say, you can't see qualifiers but, sure, aren't we lovely - come and see the charity event....

Which - of course - you have to pay for !

So, it's not free, it's not pro tennis, but - yep - in every other way it's just like making qualifiers open to everyone no

No. At least I don't think so.  She is very active on Twitter though with regard to tennis and was/is a regular at Davis Cup matches.

Just for clarification I definitely wasnt criticising Liz - I was having a go at Queens and the LTA. I merely mentioNed her name to give some context for where I got the information.

Amazing to think that was 10 years ago.
