She'll play qualifier Mana Ayukawa in the first round - ranked 675 with a CH of 382 in 2019. I'd be surprised if Boulter has issues clearing the first couple of rounds.

Wise choice from Katie to play in Japan. As long as she stays fit and healthy she should win matches quite easily against some pretty average competition. So gain both confidence and points.
Hontama is the first opponent she will face who is at least challenging on paper.

Katie faces a qualifier next, and they might prove a little tricky. Ya-Hsuan Lee put out the #4 seed in the first round and has been steadily improving over the last month.
