Bit of a change from indoor hard in Coventry to outdoor clay in Portugal against a couple of clay-courters. Looks like they figured it out just fine though.

Just looking at live rankings, it seems to suggest Oeiras points will be added Monday? Is that normally how it works for W100 events? Is it just 15 and 25s that dont get added the next update , or is a W100 the first level that goes in straight away ? Seems strange that they differentiate within ITF although I still dont really understand why they dont update all events on the first Monday anyway , in this day and age.

The traditional reason that lower level ITFs were never updated on the first Monday is because they are one-man and his dog events. The tournament referee has to get all the admin done, he/she wasn't very expert at it, didn't have any help, it sometimes ran over, and that referee would definitely be part of the finals party, the apéro at the prize-giving, the sponsors lunch, all the last day eating and drinking which meant he/she really didn't want to have to do admin that day and would come in on Monday afternoon and sort it all then when everything had finished/they'd recovered.
It's far less relevant now, but there's still a bit of truth to it....

Thanks CD - I understand the history , definitely , but they seem to manage it for $3k wheelchair events and J30 events, I think, and the results for all 15 and 25 events are carried on loads of scores sites, the ITF themselves must have an up to the minute record so it isnt even down for end tournament director! Youd thinkor maybe the itf is on a shoe string?!

No idea about wheelchair events but I've never seen a juniors event have a good old-fashioned drinks fuelled knees-up at the end.
But I've 'seen' a lot of 10k and 15ks have exactly that
As said, I'm know that's one of the key 'traditional' factors. And, yes, it should be far less relevant now....
Not a good day at the office. Failed to take any of their 10 break points whilst their opponents took 5 out of 10.
So just the 50 points for reaching the SF this week.
Just not clicking so far this year. Think Freya/Ali will be our number 1 pairing at some point this season.
Well, not clicking in recent weeks since the move to clay, but not far away. Freya and Ali are still a little below this level and need to step up a level to climb the rankings much further.
