I was surprised to see Mandy Minella in the doubles draw. It seems to be part of a development strategy for her partner, who she and her husband coaches, rather than some comeback out of retirement.

Quote randomly, I once sat in Mandy's player box at the US Open. My Swiss friend I'd met in NYC knew her from back home. From memory, she lost to Svitolina in the first round who was then being coached by, and who was in the next box to me, Justine Henin.

Nice person and her coach/husband seemed like a good guy too.
