based on current form, either probably fav to beat Evans here.   Evans will not be ranked in the top 100 by the end of September.

Does anybody know what is happening in Marrakech?  Play should have started at 13:00 local. They seem to be working on the court, doing far more than the standard dragging and sweeping.

Play has been cancelled for the day in Marrakech/  There was heavy overnight rain and the court was deemed to be still too wet.

Dan was very good today, Popyrin less so.  I was encouraged to see Dan playing at such a high level on his least favourite surface, especially after a run of sub-optimal results.

Brilliant. The betting sites had that completely the wrong way round.

he has got form though , on clay, where he got to monte carlo last 8 was it a few years back. So he can play it.

tim henman , late in his career, found out how to play on clay, mixing patience and attacking game, and Dan could well do the same. Tim made the FO semis in 2004 or so I think and seemed to work it all out for a couple of years!
