Doubles wins for Harriet and Jodie this weekend perhaps gives Annie a dilemma over her best pairing.

But probably in a positive way Id reckon? Its given her options at least. But if Katie and Jodie play singles , Heather and Harriet at doubles still stands out as most likely.

Sensible choice - cover for Heather and Harriet and an introduction to the squad for Maia who hasn't experienced this level before.

I saw yesterday there were just a handful of tickets remaining for both days so effectively a sell-out.

The prizemoney for the BJK Cup FInals has been announced by the ITF, as below:

Thanks to the partnership and support of title sponsor, Gainbridge, the 2023 Billie Jean King Cup Finals will offer an unprecedented Player Prize Money (PPM) purse of $9.6 million, with this years World Champions set to receive a record $2.4 million as part of the ITFs Advantage All programme to drive value for the womens game.

This years record prize money purse will be broken down as follows:

The world champions will receive $2,400,000
The runners-up will receive $1,440,000
The semi-finalists will receive $960,000
Group stage teams will receive $480,000

So the $9.6m compares to the WTA FInals event, which is $9m. The mens ATP TOur finals is what, $15m this year and the United Cup is similar? Anyone any idea re the Davis Cup FInals?

Just looked again at the LTA website - there is just ONE seat available for the Saturday, but  21 on Sunday plus a fair number of restricted view or Category 3 seats (i.e. in the back corners)

I think it is time for a new thread for this week's event. Unless someone else starts one I'll get round to it late tonight or tomorrow morning.
