By my calcs Elena and Em were the fifth highest ranked pair, so a little unlucky to get a seed. Anshba trains at this facility, which looks from the stream to be pretty quick.
That's more like it! As soon as Em won her opening service game with an ace on the deuce point I thought they might be in the running. Anshba was very poor, and Malygina despite her height generates good power from the back and is quick which helps Emily out at the net. She did better at actually hitting the ball away today, instead of silly dinks she can get into the habit of that backfire.
Were *4-1 up in the second but lost their way a bit. Still had *40-15 in the last game to keep right in it, but just too many little mistakes on shots they were making yesterday in an otherwise even contest.
