SHould have kept quiet ! On-site sign-in by Ingrid Gamarra Martins and Alena Fomina-Klotz has bumped out of the seeds. Ingrid played with Em in 9 tournamnets last year.

I wonder why Matilda never plays in the UK.

Yes, it's quite pointed.

She seemed to be playing a lot of clay tennis at one point - which made sense, both for her development and as a surface she likes

And she's obviously been to academies in Europe etc.

But this is hard court - why's she not at Sunderland? I wonder if the family are no longer based in the UK at all?

I don't think Matilda has been based in the UK for years. The family reportedly moved back to Serbia when she was 11 and she spent most of the years since then at various academies in Europe.
