Tough ask for Andy and Donald in their doubles final today, and Dahnon in boys singles, both are unseeded and play top seeded world number ones.

Good luck to both, a title would be amazing.

Big one - Alfie versus Gordon - is tomorrow and at least we will get a title guaranteed in that, and the big one at that!

Only really 3 biggish events left this year - the series 1 level (like an atp/WTA 500) in Sardinia week after next , and the Israel Open mid October , and then the season tour finals , the NEC Masters, in Spain (clay) at the end of October. Theres a series 2 event in France mid November, like an atp / WTA 250, but the rest are small futures events.

The ITF Series 1 event in Sardinia is currently taking place with Gordon Reid, Ben Bartram and Lucy Shuker all still in action. All 3 are through to the singles quarterfinals now, and at the same stage of doubles for Gordon and Lucy.

This is tough and something I hadnt appreciated had been an issue in past years (Ive only started following wheelchair tennis in the past couple of years)

Andy is right, the US Open is the sports biggest event financially. For the players not to play that takes away maybe 25 percent of their income which, professionally, is dominated by the 4 slams. Youd think there is a solution - why does it need to be at the same time as the able bodied us open, couldnt they hold it apart, or a different venue in New York maybe?

In Sardinia, Gordon Reid and Lucy Shuker both are now into the semis of singles and doubles events; Gordon beat Ben Bartram in his singles QF.
