 And Hannah Rylatt and Hamish Stewart took the titles in the TS Open Finals;

Well done to both of them

And the draws are up for the Premier Tier event starting tomorrow in Loughborough. 4 groups of 4 play through to knockouts from the last 8 onwards

competitions.lta.org.uk/sport/draws.aspx

Top seeds will be George Houghton and Freya Christie

British Tour Premier event in Loughborough

Top seed, Freya, failed to go through from the pool stage

Bit unfortunate - there were three players with two wins each, only two can go through, so some countback system.

But it was Hep and Ellie who got the nod, leaving Freya out in the cold. Sofia Johnson lost all her matches.

In Pool B, Kristina P won all her matches, and progresses, as does Allegra K Davies (Given won one match and Elina Popescu lost all hers)

In Pool C, Bronte won all hers, and Kylie Bilchev won two out of three, so they're through

And in Pool D, Tegan and Ruby are the two successful players

So the QFs are:

Hep v Kylie

Tegan v Allegra

Ellie B v Bronte

Kristina P v Ruby

In the men:

Pool A: George Houghton and Oscar Brown are the two qualifiers

Pool B: Again, three players with two wins each but this time it's Max Carrier who loses out and Billy Blaydes and Mike Shaw are the two with the nod

Pool C: Freddy Blaydes and Ben Gusic Wan go trhough

Pool D: Phoenix Weir and James Mackinlay were the top two

So the QFs are:

George v Ben

Phoenix v Mike Shaw

Oscar B v Freddy

Billy B v James Mackinlay

Ellie beat Freya so must have been decided on head-to-head. They were tied on sets but Freya was ahead 53.7% to 53.6% on games !

Might be a tense Christmas in the Blayde household

Little bro Freddy got the win over big bro Billy, in two tie-breaks

He'll play Phoenix in the final, who beat Ben G Wan, 10-8 in the MTB

In the girl, Hep beat Allegra pretty easily, and Bronte beat Kristina P in a MTB

So it's Hep v Bronte tomorrow for the title

Phoenix was also RU in the Masters last week, so a decent couple of weeks for him.

I know that the events above (I assume) count for 2024 but it always makes more sense to me to keep to calendar years

So the last British Tour event in 2023 is the Grade 2 event in Sheffield

There's a lot of youngsters taking part, as per normal, especially in the girls

R1 matches finished today; L16 matches play tomorrow
