2022 Player of the Season Wild Card Vote

We are voting for two players to get wild cards to our player of the season vote . Vote for who youd like to get the wild card For whatever reason you favour. Only one vote per person, but top two highest number of votes will get the wild cards

votes will close Sunday pm at 8 pm.

in event of a tie , Ill have a vote off.

1. Lloyd Glasspool - for reaching the World Tour Doubles Finals, being part of the top 6 teams in the world, from outside AO entry levels at season start
2. Talia Neilson-Gatenby - for being our highest ranked junior in the senior world rankings, at circa mid 500's including winning her first ITF title
3. Eliz Maloney-for spectacular ranking improvements in the past 12 months. From 1137 to 391 in singles and from 1066 to 388 in doubles.
4 Andy Murray for ....being Andy Murray. Still ranked in the top 50 after major hip surgery and continuing to be a brilliant ambassador for British tennis
5 Jamie Murray for reaching 500 match wins on tour
6 Anna Brogan who improved her ranking from 916 (I think) to 350 - a massive 566 places, and seemingly with little support from the LTA. Well certainly no wild cards!
7. Ben Bartram - for winning the US Open Juniors Singles and Doubles Wheelchair events, the first time Junior slams have been competed for. And reaching the NEC Masters Doubles Semifinals
8. Liam Broady - for a great run at Wimbledon this year and providing many hours of great watching. May he refind his form of earlier this year once more!

I reckon Lloyd will get plenty of votes, so I looked elsewhere to place my vote. Eliz has caught my eye on mainy occasions this year, and the ranking improvement wins my vote.

Thanks TA- and a little spread of votes happening, which is heartening to start it all off!

Sorry, not Lloyd for me, great progress but I don't really care for the guy......

I went for Anna, to say sorry for underestimating her - I said she wouldn't make the top-500 and I was well wrong.

(In one of the PoM votes earlier this year, I voted for someone because I had once inadvertently upset their dad - I apologised to him and all was good but a vote seemed a nice gesture - there's a theme here....)

Well, good to see some early votes, 9 so far (last years equivalent reached 32!). 3 players got the votes so far but a long way to go. Suspect though, it could be down to 3 for the two places

Intrigued by what people think of Liams year - some really great highs , Wimbledon of course. But maybe ended up disappointing a little?

11 votes in and half the players have votes. A long way to go but its going to be close so all votes will contribute massively !

If we have a tie at 8 pm Sunday for one of the wild card places, I will do a run off. As the pos votes start Monday, the play off vote will be after 8 pm Sunday through to 11pm Sunday . So keep an eye out if interested or keen to vote.

For now, we have 11 votes in this poll placed and lots of time left. Ill do a scores on doors this evening

Lots on the line for these players. Lloyd - some may say he could win the whole player of the season thing ; Talia - her mum is sometimes here, make the family happy! And why hasnt the family voted yet? Eliz - almost qualified directly for player of the season from November PoM ; Andy - will he get another chance ? Jamie - will HE get another chance ? Anna - no sure if any Scottish players in pos already, can she make the field? Ben - a wheelchair junior has never been in PoS and he is the only current slam champion in this wildcard vote ; Liam - always so close and will he get another chance as well?
