It's odd that so many of these are British

Odd in what way?

Maia, since she had COVID and maybe injuries has obviously decided to become a doubles player. I think Jasmine is one of our many players at US colleges and they usually only play on tour part time (being busy with playing the US college tennis) and studies.

Maia's transition to doubles due to COVID and potential injuries is understandable. Jasmine's focus on college tennis and studies explains her part-time tour presence. Many US college players balance academics and professional aspirations, often playing sporadically on tour.

Half of them seem to be British when the number of players we have would be a relatively small percentage
