Ryan leaves his opponent feeling cheesed off and rather blue with a 7-5 6-3 win wink

Ouch, one of Dan's nemeses, came very close last time, just not close enough.

Ryan has done so little since the Grass season, I would love to see him qualify here but Tung-Lin seems to be quite a decent player.  Certainly highly thought of in Taiwan

However he takes one of the three (so far) LL spots against a qualifier.

And then maybe Daniel again in round 2 if he got through

Good for Ryan, although Jarry is experienced and Ruud would await the winner

L32:  (Q) Nicolįs Jarry (CHI) WR 111 (CH = 38 in July 2019) vs (LL) Ryan Peniston WR 140

As Jon has pointed out, the winner of that match will face Ruud in the last 16.
