I miss the days when players used to go on the Australian and Asian swings... I'm guessing flight costs now make it prohibitive (plus we now have lots more opportunities at home). I seem to remember Mel South breaking the top 100 off the back of Aussie 25ks way back when.

Also the Canada swing and USA swing. Cost of flights and accomodation - everything is going up.

Perhaps the prize money should go up. The 10Ks went up to 15K a few years ago, maybe it's time to change the 25Ks to 30K.
The women's W25s have long been totally anomalous in their prize money against points ( and have got worse over time ).
It must leave many women players generally with some difficult decisions to make, with pretty strong fields relative to the prize money, and more particularly where big travel costs are involved.
Perhaps we need two categories to replace the one. Say a W25 with reduced points, much more in line with the men as a true second futures level event and a W40 ( $40K prize money ) with the current W25 points. Moving then more naturally to the current W60s with their current prize money and points.
