Entries Week 37 - 12/09/22

Dans given himself an interesting schedule - New York, back to Glasgow for Davis Cup, straight across to San Diego where is likely top seed and straight on to Seoul where he and Cam are both playing , as is Emma. The Seoul draw is stacked for a 250, they must be throwing appearance fees at the players .

The way Jack is playing hes surely going to get the 5th Davis Cup slot?

Though that would then mean Neal left out and with such a number of top ranked specialist doubles pairs we enter the without a specialist pair in our 5

Arguably Neal should already be in and the 5th choice having been left between Andy and Jack.

Yep, agreed. Any of Cam, Evo or Andy is good enough to play with Joe, arguably more than good enough, so whoever doesnt get the singles nod. suspect itll be Cam plus one singles and Andy or Evo will be able to partner Joe. Id be happy with that. but agree original choice was a little wonky.

leon Of course may pick Neal instead, who knows, just feels like its hard to ignore Jack now

Depends how 'good enough' our doubles pair will have to be. Just fear we will not be putting out our strongest possible team, good indeed though the others are at doubles.

Dan Evans can play fantastic double. If I were picking the David cup team I would probably pick Norrie and Draper for singles and Evans and Sailsbury for doubles with Andy for support and back up although he is playing very well this week as well! Having too many great tennis players to choose from was not a problem is a nice problem to have though!

Baglow is almost certainly in the main draw now (first on the quali list)

Likewise Amos in Tunisia

Hays is in the quali list for France (Dijon) 15k

A player called Allegra Hodson is now also in the quali list for Spain

There are quite a lot of available slots in qualis for a lot of these events too - there'll be quite a lot 'drop-in' players signing up, I reckon - hopefully a couple of GB players amongst those
