Interesting. Lissey wasn't on the singles entry lists (accordig to Darts) and would have been around 14th Alt. Jana Fett has gained 10 places in the entry list.

Its not common for doubles entries to sign into qualies as an on site alt on the off chance of a bit of extra pocket money and it does look like they ran out of entered players.
It's a bit of an expensive trip for Lissey and Liv for 1 tournament on doubles prize money. I can't see them getting into the USO.

Good effort from Lissey against the higher ranked player. She actually served for the second set at *5-4.
But as Lambda said, a bit of extra pocket money - $1,750 in fact - to cover the air fare !

Jana Fett is a player whose career could have turned out so much differently. She had the beating of Caroline Wozniacki in the 2nd round of the 2018 Aussie Open. Wozniacki went on to win her only Grand Slam and Fett never recovered from that match.
Good point re Jana Fett and similarly Alicia could easily be a top 200 player with a bit more luck. Im often find doubles to be too much of a distraction and easy option for players but I appreciate its almost entirely a financial decision. Far easier to break the top 50 and make a living than barely breaking even around 200 in singles.

I think as a player you would want to play the biggest tournaments regardless and if switching to doubles gives you that opportunity then surely it's better than slogging away at itf level.
