Harry Gration RIP

I was so sad to hear this news today that Harry has died. For those of you not from Yorkshire, you may never have heard of Harry. He was a presenter of Look North for many years but also had a presence on many broadcasting programmes, many for charity and across many sports incl Rugby League. I remember seeing Harry just 9 months ago at Harrogate Town - although I believe he was a York man, he came to see Town now and again and chatted to me in the queue for a coffee.

He was a genuinely lovely man - I felt so sorry for his long time presenting colleague Amy Garcia when she broke the news tonight on TV, she was genuinely heartbroken.

Such sad news - RIP Harry, a broadcasting icon and a Yorkshireman to be proud of.

Oddly he also presented South Today for a few years: there was a tribute to him yesterday on there, too.

Being down south I remember Harry more from Rugby League days. Bit late I know, but sorry to see hear of his passing

Harry had a young family as well, from his second marriage, I believe he had a young one literally only a couple of years old. Very sad.
