R1: DART, Harriet (GBR) (6) 102 (CH=99 2022) v MIDDENDORF, Julia (GER) 773 (CH=629 2022)
R1: SWAN, Katie (GBR) 225 (CH=163 2018) v UDVARDY, Panna (HUN) (3) 83 (CH=81 2022)
They have played twice before with Panna winning 4 & 5 in 2017 and 5 & 3 in 2021.
Harriet will probably have a run here and get back in the top 100 and then when she plays the better players drop out of the top 100 again.
That wouldn't happen to be the same Harriet Dart who was beating those better players at Indian Wells would it?
She can't do much wrong in my book tbh, the way she is prepared to go toe to toe with physically more powerful players. The highlights of the match against Svitolina at IW are a great watch, and that lob winner, wow!
Harriet could do with going on a run here. With only this week and next week to add points before the Wimbledon cut, she is currently live WR110, and with Russian and Belarusian players excluded is borderline of making it in. A few points here could cement that entry without needing a wild card, freeing it up for someone else should it be needed.

Based on the OER tables, reaching the semi-final here might take her to WR102, but she has a few tough matches to achieve that.

I don't think we're at that point where we have so many contenders that one extra would be necessary
