Thanks Peter - sorry if being picky, isnt The venue named Monastir as opposed to Monaster. I noticed it last week but didnt say anything - I realise its not important but thought Id just mention it in passing !

Landry has a record of losing in Q1 but she appears to have just beaten the 4th seed.

This is Landry's first pro tournament for 10 and a half years. Her only two previous appearances were here in 2010 and 2011 when this was a 50K and she was a junior.

Shame for Emily App.

But she's in the doubles, of course, with Ali Collins.

THey've got a BYE in R1.

And play the Morderger sisters (GER) who are seeded 3, directly in the QFs.

(FIVE (!) byes in the first round.......)
