Interesting that Tara and Emina have both withdrawn.

Got back to 3-3, but got broken at 4-5 to lose the set.

Up 2-0 in the second, so hopefully finding her way back into the match, although (bar a retirement) she will have to break that lengthy 3 setter losing streak if she is to advance.

Jodie should be winning this easily - and may yet do so. 4-6 6-1 *0-0

More ranting and raving, and lazy footwork, from Jodie. Making life harder than it need be....

But close....

2-2

She's totally done physically. Looks knackered. Footwork is particularly bad at the moment, she's hitting the ball and completely stopping to see where it goes, and then getting pulled on the run into defence from an attacking position.

*4-4

Got 3 cheap errors and a nice winner to hold without too much energy expended. Dig Jodie, come on.

5-4*

How did Zacarias win that point at 15-0*?! Mental.

2 match points. Goes long on the first. Absolutely slams a forehand on yh second, yes!

Well done Jodie. She was the better player but the Mexican was defending really well.

Chuffed for her.

Great stuff, and I bet it will feel good for her to finally win one that went the distance. March 2020 was the last time.
