Good on Matilda giving this swing in Brazil a go. Lots of opportunities for wins and points.

Could Matilda make French Open Qualifying if she makes a strong start to the year?

Very good chance she could make top 250, a lot of players will shoot up the rankings in April when all these points start falling. A lot of players ranked 250-400 she will almost automatically take over.

Looks like that's the aim and certainly with  her grasp.

I think Matilda's ranking is pretty precarious - it's certainly not 'assured'

I know she's young and 'on the way up' but I think that's all factored into the price already (and a bit)

Yes, she got big points from pretty weak South African 25Ks in September and October.

Certainly she looks a good improving prospect but I think French Open Q this year is a  huge ask. Yes possible in that the points are there to be won  but really very unlikely. Still I look forward to see her hopefully continuing to progress so that she will be at that level within a year or two.
