 I notice that Austria have withdrawn so GB now play Germany, USA & Canada. Also going by the latest squad lists, link, Liam is captain. Surprised Liam is participating as I thought playing one of the challengers and getting some competitive action would be best prior to the AO qualifying and you'd guess Cam & Dan would play most of the singles in this.

 Perhaps Leon Smith is not going to be there and because Liam is not the obvious player choice for singles or doubles he can fulfill the role of captain and be at every match. I expect playing decisions will be obvious but if someone is injured then there will be a team discussion to sort it. He's obviously got the tennis nous to help with a playing problem in a match., but they could all do that.

 I thonk Liam is a good choice for captain, not only for the reasons above but also as a vociferous supporter. And he will no doubt spend plenty of time as a hitting partner with Cam and Dan which will be as good as playing elsewhere.
