Week 48 - ITF W15 - Heraklion, Greece Clay

THis is the first ITF event that Lauryn has played, I believe, since 2017, when she must have been pretty much still a junior.

She had a WTA ranking before (as Peter's highlighted). And you'd think college tennis must have been beneficial. There was certainly some good bits in her Pro League showing. Would be great to see her get her ranking back.

A match-up against a player like Gavrila (don't know her, but based on her profile) will be interesting to help pitch where her level is.

I think iremember talking to Lauryn and her family and I got the impression that financing tennis was a concern at the time( may possibly have got her mixed up with someone else)

 Interesting, sounds well possible.

I think Lauryn has just been accepted as a Queen's club grantee (along with Phoenix, Kyle Hughes, Ranah, some 11 year-old girl and others...)

So hopefully that might help a bit

So the MTO yesterday must have been for Emilie. Hope it's nothing serious - she's down to play in Monastir the next two weeks.

Excellent !

So pleased.

A two-set win for Lauryn JB, over a decently ranked player.

Great re-start to her pro career.
