Ok, here's two - do with them what you will - I'd wanted to nominate Arthur Féry coz he's doing so well at college tennis AND is one of our two top 2002-ers, and 2002 is my year for picks, so him and Felix are great.

BUT I nominate Ali Gray instead - because he's got a single backhand No, that's not the reason, but he's a really nice guy, always liked his play, and 'came out of nowhere' in that he's been at college and off our radars a bit and so it's always exciting when someone re-surfaces in such a dramatic way.

And I nominate Jay, coz otherwise Yasmin will have conniptions (only joking, Yaz, but given we've got the world and his wife here, Jay should at least be on the list, he's made a final this year, provided a lot of matches to follow, and been working hard)

Anton Mat would be on my possible list too - thanks to his excellent run at Wimbly qualis. Tara is another - not only for perseverance, and some very good tennis at times, but because she is a leader amongst players in calling out issues and not being scared to be heard (such as Peng).

And I could go on...... But I'll stick to Ali (and Jay as an ALT or extra, depending on your space).

Thanks CD, and I will in fact add Anton in there as he won the UK Pro League FInals week as well. Tara is already qualified for PoS through doing well in the January PoM poll!

I wasnt sure , CD, if in your post above you had nominated Arthur Fery - and as we have space and no one else is jumping forwards, then Arthur can get into this list quite happily!

I wasn't - coz now it looks like I've got tons in there !!!

Only Ali (and Jay as stand-in, if possible) were my real nominations.

BUT I'm happy that he's in there (both Anton and Arthur)

The way things are playing out, we are almost certainly looking at 1 or max 2 wild cards now. Possibly one or two of the list above will get taken out as they are in the PoM final (Beth, JoKo, Ryan, Charlie, Felix) , lets see how the results go in PoM!!

So, remember the wild card vote will go up this evening, 16 or 17 players in it, 1 or 2 spots (to be confirmed) up for grabs.

No rules - vote for whoever you want, for whatever reason , to put them into the player of the season vote. Can be for any reason, like real wild cards - someone you think deserves it or will add to the pool of players in the PoS vote already, maybe they fill a spot of a type of player you think is not represented enough, or they had a defining high week sometime in the year, or deserve it to recognise their overall achievements.

You decide!

Numbers of players tbc after PoM closes, and number of wildcards up for grabs to be determined also

So, Beth is qualified for the PoS as of right and thus I am taking her out of the wild card draw, just 16 players, poll will go up shortly
