Disapointed to see that Queen's qualifying is not open to the public this year. I had an excellent (free!!) day there a few years ago.

Yeah such a shame. Especially as a weekend is when most people are able to engage sport and go to watch it.

No, if you look at "Event guide/On the day/Qualifying weekend" on LTA website, it just says "Unfortunately qualifying weekend (Saturday 11th to Sunday 12th June) will not be open to the public this year."

Thank you. I wonder how much effort was made to avoid this unfortunate circumstance. A shame for anyone like yourself who would have liked to attend.

It cant be good for the players either, with no crowds, no atmosphere and playing in front of your coaches and fellow players only, isnt much fun

Ilkley qualies list is out and includes Ryan and Paul, Ali and Aidan as alts. Obviously they will all expect wildcards at one level or another

The good news is Gilles Simon heads the qualies list. This really is a great entry list for Ilkley, strongest Ive seen in terms of names.

Simon into third round in Paris. I think Id give him a wild card into Ilkley if he wants one, hes a decent name, a big name at this level.
