Graham Dyce - 138 - 24/07/89 David Rice - 157 - 01/01/89
Neither of them have secured an ATP ranking point so not in the main list above.
Other Juniors to watch :
Daniel Evans - 496 - 23/05/90 Sean Thornley Scott Dickson Ian Atkinson Ed Corrie Ed Seator Kostantinos Kalaitzis Harry Skinner Chris Llewellyn James Ward
After today's victory 16 year old Sean Thornley might be one to add to the list. He beat Dan Cox two weeks ago when reaching the final of a grade 5 junior tournament in Sutton before losing to Dan Evans in 3 sets.
Cheshire's Scott Dickson is our no 1 U18 player [doesn't have a wr point though].
Ian Atkinson doesn't have a ranking point but he's our no 2 U18
Ed Corrie is another 18 year old with a lot of promise. He beat Fleming in straights in Cardiff qualies and nearly qualified for this tournament, taking a top 400 player to 3 sets in the final qualies round.
Ed Seator [19] and Kostantinos Kalaitzis [18] are friends of Slabba and train at Sutton academy. Both have wr points but have yet to show any real promise so far this year.
Harry Skinner and Chris Llewellyn [both 17] have had some good wins in futures qualies and are our no 3 and no 4 U18s.
By the way, Dan Evans has maintained his position as the no 1 U16 in Europe. Jessica Ren is the 8th best U14 female in Europe.
As usual SteveG has a lot of raw data, he has an Excel database of all registered players with their birthdays at http://stevegtennis.com/data/playerdb.xls. This is 1.64 Mb. A zipped version is also available.
I usually find this is the easiest place to find the age of British players rather than the ITF or ATP sites as you can access them all on the same page.
Maybe we ought to include James Ward. He's only 18 and has a world ranking point and has had some promising performances recently. He trains at one of the Spanish academies.
