Week 40 - ITF (W25+H) Cerbourg-En-Cotentin, France Hard

Doubles

Only ten pairs in the draw this week, so a good chance for Beth to go for the title.

QF:-Alice Robbe (FRA) / Lea Tholey (FRA) CR1667 (741+926) v Sarah Beth Grey (GBR) / Arianne Hartono (NED) CR407 (202+205) [2]

Bet+ beat Alice+ in the SF last week.

It would have been nice to have had a far bigger contingent here with it just being over the water, although unless you are getting the ferry, may not be as easy to get to as it seems, but it is still northern France, within touching distance of our shores, and on hard court.

Maybe they went to Cherbourg but then roamed the country looking for a place called Cerbourg

Probably wouldn't have found the venue anyway, because it's an indoor tournament.

Not quite enough to give Sarah Beth a lift - will need to make the final. But will be a useful non-counter when points start coming off.

Yes, according to Coric Beth still has three 25 point counters from 2019, so these 28 points cover one of those. Coric has her at WR182 after today's result

My tables, which are out of date, have Beth with 25 from Biarritz and a further (50 halved) from Chiswick. I will be updating the tables during the IW break. Will do another "Doubles Movers" after IW Not easy to keep everything up to date in the current situation. But after IW it should be OK!

She has four 25 point scores, 3 of which are counters. 50 halved from Palmela, Portugal in July 2019 and successive weeks in Woking and Chiswick in August 2019 plus 25 from Parnu, Estonia in August this year.

So yes so far just a minor 3 point gain as 28 points take out one of the 25s.
