 So todays winners include Flora Johnson in singles and doubles in Ghana, the latter with Jade Cole. flora also won singles last week so has 3 titles, two unseeded one as 8th seed, plus another ru spot in this month. Respect ! 

and Arthur Fery and Luke Johnson take mens doubles in Poland.

So, 3 nominations to date, which is fine. With just two weeks left in the month, I suspect we will have a relatively small field this month. Remember, nominations can be made any time up to Sunday 29th August, around 8 pm when I will post the poll...

 Interesting to see how this week develops, Will any of Andy, Heather or Emma force their way into our thoughts, or maybe someone in doubles or lower down the levels at ITF or one of the juniors. It looks like we will have a smaller field by far for this months vote in around 11 days time!

At the very top of the game, we just have Joe and Cam left in doubles , but we have Emma and Jay doing well this week at the next level down, both effectively in top level Challenger events. Jay had previously won a match in San Marino this month before giving a walkover so is currently 3-0 on the month. Emma had also done well in Landisville, with two strong main draw wins. They havent won titles, yet, but are building a solid month in both cases.

Ones to watch for this months nominations?

And Heather Watsons month is also looking solid overall with several good performances. We tend to nominate players who make headlines in a given week but reckon that Heather, Emma and Jay will get close on the had a strong month stakes by the end of the months play.

Ive not been on here much recently but will take the bait and nominate Jay - it has been encouraging to see his recent uptick in form (if I am allowed to say that).
