This is now becoming very real with the announcement of almost all the squads yesterday, with THREE home nations involved out of four it seemed entirely appropriate to start a separate thread.
I see that the winners of Grouo D, ie the Scotland ( and England ) group face the runners up from Group F, the Group of Death ( France, Germany, Portugal or Hungary ) in the L16 at Wembley. Maybe a wee bit tough. We might let England win the group
The runners up in Group D face the runners up in Group E ( Spain, Sweden, Poland or Slovakia ) in Copenhagen.
A potential one of the best 4 3rds from Group D could end up anywhere ( well not quite, in one of 3 places including Hampden ), facing a group winner. And if we get one of these places there would be national celebrations, sorry I mean that we would probably have just manoeuvred into that position for tactical reasons.
Some exciting youngsters in the Scotland squad it will be interesting to see if Gilmour and Turnbull get much game time. Difficult to know quite how big a step up its from Scottish Premier to EPL is but I would like to see Turnbull keeping Ginny company at Villa Park. They did well tonight

Celtic fans continue to express their ongoing thoughts about Celtic letting Villa nick McGinn after their own initial derisory offers to Hibs. Turnbull's had a good season, one of the few Celtic players that did, and is well worth his inclusion in the squad, if Villa feel like trying to add him
Kalvin Phillips what a performance! I think Jordan Henderson can relax, injuries often allow teams to evolve for the better during tournaments. Bryan Robson in 86 & 90. Wilkinss suspension in 86. Great start and fingers crossed England continue to evolve through the tournament and my Grealish 7 shirt isnt completely redundant!
Good tactical first match defeat by Scotland, so we don't need to reign oorselves in too much to avoid topping the group and then face the Group F runners up.
Though bit OTT for Marshall to go for a scenic stroll when supposedly his primary job for the day was protecting the Scotland goal.
Great game too! Lets hope the results go their way. Loved the McGinn pre interview, nae coke? Very Scottish but I suppose its the go to if ye canny find some Irn Bru
