Ali lost set one easily.

And was 5-6* down in the second. But broke.

Into a TB....

Jay is also not looking too likely in his match, set and a break down to Millman

I saw the last service game from Jay and he just seemed to have no self belief. Really flat and one shot just passed halfway down into the net. He needs something to change to get his career back on track.

So Kwon who got beat by Alastair Gray in QR1 is now in as a LL to replace Opelka. So gets a bye to round 2! Thats more than LL! Skipping two rounds from his original exit point!

Kwon is the 5th LL in Eastbourne. It's what can happen when you have a tournament so close to a slam and a terrible weather forecast.

Great performance from Liam particularly in the second set. Tiafoe was distracted in the first set, wanting to be off court because of the light, but asked a lot of questions in the second with Liam forced to save 6 breakpoints while not having a sniff on the American serve. Held all his serves in the tiebreak to keep Tiafoe at bay.
