Main draw out. Harriet at least in, but has a tough match against Caty McNally who has taken a late WC and is the 2nd seed. She's not had the best of restarts, relatively, but obviously not great drawing a very high seed in R1. That WC has probably knocked Harriet out of being a seed, so a bit of a double whammy.

Yes, I've looked at the rankings of the people around her, and it looks like Harriet would have been seeded 8

Doubles - Harriet giving it a miss this week, and Tara has a different partner

L16:- Francesca Di Lorenzo (USA) / Tara Moore (GBR) CR583 (382+201) v Eri Hozumi (JPN) / Miyu Kato (JPN) CR227 (147+80) [4]

Emina Bektas is playing doubles here too. I hope there hasn't been a domestic.

Could it be that to get into the draw they had to partner with someone with a better singles ranking than their doubles rankings? For both Tara and Emina the CR of who they are partnered with is better than the CR of if they had partnered together because of Ahn's and Di Lorenzo's singles ranking.

You are probably correct, as that does apply to the entry system. All of the main draw singles are inside the top 200 rankings.

Ha yes, I'd looked at the doubles rankings and was forgetting about being able to use singles rankings for doubles entry.
