Week 17 - WTA 1000 Madrid, Spain Clay

Q1: WATSON, Heather (GBR) 10 69 (CH=38 2015) v VOEGELE, Stefanie (SUI) 127 (CH=42 2013)

Haether won when they met in 2011 and Stefanie won twice in 2013.

Not as easy / convenient to check now that WTA scores have unfortunately been removed from Google, but it looks like Heather is 4th on tomorrow where play begins at 9am UK. Hopefully the betting sites will have their usual 2021 WTA quals streams. Some pretty intriguing non GB matches, especially between compatriots.

I used to take it for granted, but massively miss the scores function now. Literally open up Google, type player surname, and subsequently brings up schedule, court assignment, expected time, results timeline, easy access to other results at the tournament. Little things, but it was really handy. Much preferred it to the likes of Flashscore or Sofascore.

Unibet, as usual, are streaming all of these WTA qual matches, so the option to watch Heather is at least there later. The image is from Stuttgart quals last week, so the quality has definitely got much better recently - it's almost as if you were watching in on a normal broadcast service.

A new WTA Scores APP was released a few days ago which seems to be working well. So perhaps try that?

There is also the TNNS app which is gradually getting better and better. This has ATP, WTA and ITF scores, results, draws etc and has become my go-to APP. This one has had another upgrade with some direct links to some livestreams, highlights and news etc. So that is worth a look if you havent tried already.

I think that WTA app is the reason that they have suddenly vanished from Google. I might give that TNNS one a go, so cheers for the suggestion.

TENIPO works well for me and has links to any free streams inside each score.
