Can you believe it, Sashi draws a Brit for the second week running. No WC this week, and not on the entry list so must be an on-site entry (mind you there's something odd about the acceptance list on the ITF site - over 30 Indian women on the list, and not one in qualifying ?)

Well if they are in India can they get out given how terrible covid now is there?

Beats me how they even contemplated entering. I just had another look - 36 Indian women on the acceptance list, but only three with an ITF ranking, and a whole host further on the withdrawals.
on the itf page , I access it through the menu and selecting the tour calendar for men, women, juniors etc. It provides a list by month. If you scroll to find this event, click on it. Youll see some icons one of which looks like a list of lines with a tick. This is the acceptance list. the one for this event is copied above however.
The reason for all the Indians on the list is that this is actually the list for an Indian 25k that was cancelled after the withdrawal deadline. The Portuguese federation stepped in to offer another tournament to replace and because of timings the entry list was just copied across to in theory give all those players who had committed to India (and couldn't select another tournament that week) something to play. But obviously in reality many on the list aren't going to suddenly arrive in Portugal for a week.
