For people who watch foreign flag players, based in the UK, like Lily and such, it's worth mentioning that Andre Lukosiute (UKR) played the qualis here.
She's 19 now and has been in the UK all through her teenage years (at least - I don't know about younger years).
And she's a regular on the British Tour, and - I seem to remember - at some uni tennis things?
Anyway, she got two good wins and then lost in the FQR.
Andre is actually from Lithuania (LTU). I didn't realise she was only 19. I saw her play Emily Appleton at Chiswick a couple of years ago and she gave Emily a scare. It went to a final set tiebreak.

Singles draw is now out, and a very tough start for Matilda. She plays that young Aussie Olivia Gadecki who did well in her home WTA events. She got to the SFs last week in her first ever event outside of Aus (excl AO quals in UAE), where she lost to Lily, but was actually the narrow favourite going into that match, whereas Matilda was around 2/1 or 3.00 pre match in the final.
Not ideal for either I guess, but fingers crossed for her.
Lissy is 8th seed and if she comes through her R1 match, she would face the winner of Matilda-Gadecki.

The match before Matilda has just finished, so she will be on soon. A 9/4 underdog in R1 the week after reaching a final is tough, and shows she has a big task ahead of her, but let's see how she gets on. It'll be interesting to see how she matches up, and good experience, but it would have been nice if it was a QF or SF match up where she would have had some guaranteed points on the board.
