Still time for her to withdraw, but good to see Katy D on an entry list again. She did play a bit at the lesser BOTB in December, but it will be getting on for 6 months since her last ranking event. Hopefully those injury issues are behind her.
It will be interesting to see Anne's full BJK squad, if those first 4 names do intend to play those European ITF events.
Dan and Cam both in Barcelona the week after - they are both planning currently to go from Miami to 3 straight clay weeks with Marbella/Cagliari, Monte Carlo and Barcelona.
Doubles teams in Monte Carlo are same as Miami. Joe/Rajeev, Jamie/Bruno and Neal/Dan.
Ken /Neal are CR 70. I think last DA were McLachlan/Klaasen, also at 70. The first alternates are Bublik/Lajovic, again at 70.
If Ken/Neal entered they would have got in, as they would have replaced Neal/Dan and would have been ahead of Bublik/Lajovic as doubles ranking takes priority.
Gille/Vliegen got in at CR 74, but that must a different rule or a mistake. There used to be a rule where if you were in the top 12 pairs from the previous year or something you were guaranteed entry into the first five Masters of the year or something, so maybe that.
I'd genuinely love to hear from the Skupskis how it works when they try and work out if they get in or not, must be an absolute nightmare especially if teams can change last moment.
Thanks for that Wolf, and here is the full field below - stacked with players like Thiem, Zverev, Rublev, Goffin, Schwartzmann, Fognini, Dimitrov etc which must just add to the woe for Neal and Ken. Ken is with Jonny O'Mara the previous week in , so maybe we will see Ken, Jonny, Dom , (Luke??), Lloyd/Harri playing in the Belgrade Challenger this week instead of here?

Sadly, it might be a while before they have chance to explain it to you.
Ken has posted the following message on his Instagram account so it's difficult to know when he'll be playing again although he's very clear that he'll be back!!!
"Hi Everyone Just a quick update on what's happening. I arrived home last Monday after a great trip to Mexico. Early Saturday I started experiencing pains in my right leg which later got diagnosed as being a blood clot. I am really disappointed but have to accept my situation and take the time necessary to recover. I'm looking forward to getting back playing with Neal as soon as possible. Take care. Ken"

Sashi Kempster has a QWC in the W60 in Portugal. Eden and Em have made the trip over from Switzerland and are in qualifying. Nodoubt they'll be entering doubles as well, but the main draw singles entry list is pretty stacked (includes Fran at #20), so we'll have to wait a couple of days.
I know there's a few things going on, like BJK Cup, some still involved in UK Pro, and a bit of a contingent in Portugal, but I can't believe there's not one GB player in Calvi W25+H next week.
78 points for a win , 47 for a RU, 28 for a SF (although that wouldn't have been known at the time), hard court, and relative nearby. Pretty poor entry list for the points at stake. Harmony Tan is the only top 200 player and she looked a bit injured yesterday, so might be doubts there, and the last direct entrant will be in the 500s, and a fair few unranked in quals, so looks like a big opportunity missed for some of our players.

I'm assuming that the enhanced points on offer are to try to even up the rankings a bit and reward current form.

A very lean week for women's entries, as expected with UKPro and Sharm last week, and BJK cup later this week.
Naomi and Tara are playing doubles in Charleston with their respective partners. The three named above lost in qualifying, but Eden and Em are in the doubles. No other doubles entrants this week
