Good start, hopefully she can go a bit further this week and close in on that ranking.

The Danish 6th seed has made it through to the FQR, but it's hard to gauge from her results in her 5 weeks in Sharm - she seems to have just beaten and lost to those she was supposed to, as far as odds go:

www.tennisexplorer.com/player/helmi-57a14/

In terms of a common opponent, both beat Tran comfortably, but Helmi did beat Cadar (Vic Allen 0 and 0 girl) 6-1 6-3 four weeks ago while Marni lost to her last week.

The doubles draw is now out. Alicia and Lily pairing again.

Looks like the Japanese pair who won last week have gone home, so Lissey and Lily get top seeding.

L16:- Alicia Barnett (GBR) / Yuriko Lily Miyazaki (JPN) CR830 (339+491) [1] v Katyarina Paulenka (BLR) / Ekaterina Reyngold (RUS) CR2240 (887+1353)

Hmmm! Not going well.

Amarni lost the first set 0-6

She had break points in two of the three receiving games, including 4 at 0-3*
Closer than it looks, apart from the last two games

Lost 0-6 2-6 in the end, so did at least get a couple of games on the board.

Less info, and data at this level, but if you click through that link 5 posts up, both were under 2.00 (evens), so it was pretty much considered 50/50 pre match in terms of odds.

She's in the Q list again here next week, so will get another go.

If you look up the match on sofascore, you can see the statistics and point by point. Marni didn't win enough points on her own serve, and only took one out of seven break points (although 4 were in the same game)
