Super comeback vs the top seeds

Another reminder that a match is never won until it's err won.

More than a chance, but it looks like King and Manasse are well in control in the other SF at a set and a break up.

Would be so great to see Tara get another title this year already, would that finally push her into the top 200 again? - she deserves to be.

I think she would be just outside. Her 11th counter is 25 points, so looks like she would be a handful of points short.

I thought the title might just be enough? Since a net 25 points onto her current 432 points would take her to 457 points on 15/03.
.
The live-tennis site ( admittedly not always accurate ) currently has the the live 200 just on 450 points for 08/03. Depends on any other additions and subtractions on 15/03.

Beyond that Tara (& Emina) have relatively little to defend overall before September even if the WTA does start taking off full 2019 points. So even if they do just miss out on 15/03, I'd be confident that top 200 would be merely delayed

Hope to see them in some bigger tournaments as the year progresses

SF:- Emina Bektas (USA) / Tara Moore (GBR) CR416 (208+208)def Eri Hozumi (JPN) / Aldila Sutjiadi (INA) (152+197) [1] 4-6 6-3 12-10

F:- Emina Bektas (USA) / Tara Moore (GBR) CR416 (208+208) v Vania King (USA) / Maegan Manasse (USA) CR433 (86+347) [4]

I was looking at Coric, which suggests that the title would make her WR200

And they entered this week as 100th pair in the doubles race which should head up towards 80 or so. Next stop Szchenzhen!

Points for Tara (and Emina)

tm1.jpg

They are already 437 net (+5) from this week and will be 457 net (+25) if they can win. There is a gaggle of players around WTA 200

As Indi pointed out it depends on who's playing and how they get on. It would take Einstein to work it out, and my name isn't Albert.

Seeing all those 60/80/100ks added on clay in europe in the coming months must be exciting for Tara n Emina, admitidley clay not ideal but bigger tournaments will be a bonus!

I recall it being Tara herself years ago ( with regards to her singles ranking ) who sparked a rather amusing discussion about what constitutes being inside the top 200 or whatever. She thought you had to be WR 199, the majority led by the Steven ( rightly ) said WR 200 does it

They played overnight and lost 6-4 6-2.

Ah well, just gains a net 5 points. So top 200 will definitely have to wait.

Overall still a very good doubles year so far for Tara. Would be great if her singles could pick up too.
