Is Heather playing in Adelaide ? With players withdrawing she could be in the main draw. She is not in the qualifying.

Well Gauff WR48 is top seed in qualifying, and Heather is WR60 (WTA ranking page), so unless she has a wild card it looks unlikely

 Wild cards have gone to 3 Australians  in Stosur, Tomlajanovic  and Gadecki.Some sources had Heather entering.

Heather has withdrawn but would have made the singles and doubles main draw.. seems odd she's not playing.

 Well she is not entered for either Doha or Dubai. Otherwise she'd  be spending 10  days   locked up in a hotel  at Heathrow  to add to the  14 days  in Melbourne.

I notice it  is a 28 draw of which 7 are Q/LL.  That is a quarter of the draw. Ash Barty took a wild card to play.
