Tony Trabert  winner of Wimbledon 1955 may have passed away but the mens singles winners of 1950 to 1953 are all still alive. Three are Americans , being Budge Patty (1950), Dick Savitt (1951)  and Vic Seixas(1953). The 4th was AustralIan Frank Sedgman in 1952 who was also runner up in 1950.  Vic Seixas at 97 Is the oldest living former champion.

I posted about Tony Trabert's passing on the Blast from the Past page on the Tennis Forum. It was of more interest to Americans particularly as he broadcast on tennis. It's also interesting to note that whilst most ex-players have no interest in the history of the game the exception is Pam Shriver. She makes quite a lot of contributions and obviously knows a lot of tennis history. Great !

Answer is Frank Sedgman born in 1927 . The oldest lady champion still alive is Angela Mortimer born in 1932 and the only lady still alive to have played in a Wimbledon singles  final in the 1950's. Apart from Seixas and Sedgman, although not winners Ken Rosewall, Neale Fraser and Rod Laver all still alive played at least one Wimbledon singles final in the 1950's.
