For some reason, the ITF wheelchair rankings arent updated yet this week for what will be the last major rankings list of the season - from this point, it is all minor events that the top players wont play in or certainly wont see ranking changes from.

Dylan Alcott has announced that he will retire after the next AO. The Aussie world no 1 completed the golden slam this year.

Jordanne has announced her retirement - she went out this season with a silver and bronze from the Paralympics and has won 13 slam titles in total.

All the best to her for her future life and congrats on a wonderful career

Bolton Arena hosting back to back ITF Wheelchair Tour events in February, an ITF 3 followed by ITF2. The latter has $22k prizemoney, the former $14k . The week after it hosts a Junior Wheelchair tour event

It may have been asked before, but it occurred to me while I was reading the Alfie Hewett saga: can able-bodied people play wheelchair tennis? I assume that they are not allowed to compete (or the Alfie Hewett saga wouldn't have been a saga), but why not?
