Lazy journalism from Mike Dickson I think - sort of thing that the Daily Mail is known for - if he wanted to say something proper, he could have named names, but probably rather than just saying that Fran doesn't obsess about social media, he thought he would have a dig at all those who use it a lot, to try and make his piece sound more interesting.

Lots of journalists do this the whole time - as an ex journo, I would suggest not giving it any more thought, as it is probably meaningless piffle from Mike.
