Battle of the Brits Premier League of Tennis at National Tennis Centre

Just seen this - I don't know if it's  been posted elsewhere yet

https://www.lta.org.uk/about-us/tennis-news/news-and-opinion/general-news/2020/december/british-stars-set-for-battle-of-the-brits-premier-league-of-tennis-at-national-tennis-centre/

The four-day event held from Sunday 20 Wednesday 23rd will feature 16 players (both men and women) playing in a 30-match league format, that will see each player play at least once across the four days.  Players already signed up include Dan Evans, Heather Watson, Andy Murray, Cameron Norrie and James Ward as well as LTA Pro Scholarship Programme players Emma Raducanu, Harriet Dart, Jay Clarke and Jodie Burrage. The tournament scoring system will be Match Tiebreaks for deciding sets and the points system used to declare the mens and womens leaders at the conclusion of the event will be three points for a win over any player ranking inside the worlds Top 250, two points for a win ranked between 251-600 and one point for winning a set while losing a match.

I assume the British Tour event be finished? Coz Emma's playing that on Friday and Saturday.

Great news - also assuming it's livestreamed? Please tennis-gods

No mention of Katie Boulter who is in Spain at the moment. Katie Swan I believe is back in Wichita for Christmas.

Mike Dickson in the Daily Mail  writes that conspicuously not listed on the entries was  GB  No1 Jo Konta.

Especially given she's been training at the NTC this week.

Still too early for Laura Robson I presume.

I can't understand what kind of competition this is. Can't be a team event nor an individual league.

Players don't have the same number of matches so can't be an individual competition. Can't be a two team match either. A mystery!

So individual but players wont play same number of matches. Sort of contrived !

If Alicia is now #4 seed, there must have been a fair few withdrawals...
