Not the best of restarts for Alicia (in singles). Opponent more of an unknown quantity at that age, and probably best vs worst surface, but not a great sign losing in Q1 of a W15.
The opponent who she lost to in Q1 last week lost 2-6 0-6 to Matilda in September on her way to that W15 title. It'll be interesting to see how some of the other Brits get on later, particular Hannah Read.

I suspect her future will be primarily in doubles. AFAIK she has a coaching role at Team Bath next year as well.
I've never heard of Nahia - I'll see if I can dig anything up.....
But very pleased to see the young ones doing well.
That's a super result from Hannah Read - beating a top-1000 player very easily.
(Hannah is the youngster who puts you very much in mind of Katie Boulter when she plays, it's an elegant game, there's been a lot about her on the juniors thread - she did very well at Les Petits As recently, I really like her)
Can't find anything about Nahia except she's at the Bruguera academy, which is probably why she doesn't show up very much in any of the main French places (and also why she's playing in Spain)
But based on not much, I'd have thought Hannah Read would have a decent chance.
