Jay having a WAY more tricky time here than any of us (and certainly the bookies) ever thought.....

3-3 in the third

Well, that was a bit of a struggle but he got there in the end. And nice to finish with the last two points being nice, crisp winning volley and then ace.

The full story:

L32:  Jay Clarke WR 187 defeated (WC) Patric Prinoth (ITA) WR 1864 by 6-3 6-7(9) 6-3

Probably the top seed, Uchiyama, in the L16...

Jay has lost the first set 7-2 in the breaker.

Edit - and levels the score by taking the second 7-4 in the breaker. Soooo tight.....1*-2 in the 3rd now.

And Muller again. 6-3 in the third. Jay had two break back points in the last game as Muller served for it, but the Frenchman served well on the important points.

Close but Muller just deserved it.

No rankings advance this week for Lloyd because 15 points is already his lowest counter.
