Some familiar names there. Noel had that Brit bashing run at Bolton-Sunderland W25 last year. Can't help but feel Jodie vs Lopa would have been better 18 months ago, prior to their respective momentum killing injuries, but hopefully Jodie can get back on the winning trail.
I see Konjuh plays Lapko today. 2 22 year olds who have both been in the top 60 (obviously much higher for Konjuh), so a bit sad to see them in W25 qualifying, but good that they are both back out there battling away.
Jodie is 1/3 fave to beat Lopatetska (9/4). The latter has struggled a bit this year, and has retired in a lot of matches (so chances of a voided bet), but 9/4 looks pretty big to me.
Maia has just had a SP since my waffling, but back at deuce.
*5-5.
7-6(2)

Fran possibly suffering from the Player of the Month curse, she went from 4-2* to 4-6 in the first set, but she has come back from 2-4* to *5-4 in the second, so hopefully she can force the decider.
Edit - missed DFs earlier post.

Lost 4-6 6-7(3). I hadn't actually heard of Lamen, but she is still young at 21 and has had some decent wins recently - www.tennisexplorer.com/player/lamens/
Just a bit disappointing to have 2 seeds both lose to circa 500 players, both as favourites, especially when events are so few and far between at the moment, and will have stacked entry lists. You're really going to have to string 4 or 5 solid wins together (inc qualies) just to get reasonable points.
Jodie won 6-2 6-4, so the pre match odds seem justified. Chuffed she won, and hopefully she can qualify (for one measly point) and then get a couple of main draw wins.
In terms of overseas opponents, I often say 'good to see xxx back' or 'hopefully xxx can get back to form, and sometimes it can be a bit cliched, but Lopatetska really is a sad story. She won 3 W25 titles from Jan 2019 to April 2019 (including beating in form Jodie on the way) and made another final, all as a 15 year old, before an awful injury last April. I know Naomi B hasn't been great for a while, but Lopatetska beat her twice in 2018 not long after her 15th birthday, and she was looking a brilliant prospect and was just outside the top 200, but she has found it tough since she came back earlier in the year after her layoff. She's still just 17 and a half, younger than Emma Rad for a bit of perspective, but I do hope she can get back to where she was, and beyond before too long.
Jodie plays either the 2nd Q seed or a French junior (who have yet to start) in the FQR.
