She may not thank me for this one given her score and mode of dismissal today and her team lost, but well done for making the final and for your big score earlier in the competition. Must have been cool playing with all the England players.

Another cracking finale to the county championship. Four teams could have won it going into the last round.
Lancashire won a thriller at Aigburth which meant Warwicks had to win on the final day and they are now in a very strong position.

Unlucky, but if your relying on Somerset to bat out then that's not a good position to be in.

Hopefully they return to two divisions next year.

Have to say I dont follow county cricket or any cricket below test level!

Three divisions works OK. The fixture list is the issue. You cannot have the county championship stuck right at the beginning of the season and right at the end. It doesn't help our test team in development or to find form.

Unfortunately money talks and the ECB want 3 weeks of the hundred and the clubs want twenty 20.

With a lot of international cricket lacking context and meaning, I much prefer the slightly crazy county games.

The problem with this year's structure the games in div 2 and div 3 had no meaning...

The old two division structure meant more teams had something to play for right to the end.

I don't think next season's format has been agreed, but would make sense to have 3 divisions with promotion and relegation. Slightly less matches, so later start, earlier finish?

I'm not sure what it's going to be, but it won't be that.

Two divisions, no Bob Willis Trophy

Apparently the meeting was an absolute mess

Two huge shocks in 24 hours with the deaths of Rod Marsh and Shane Warne. Tragic.

Earlier today Warne was tweeting about his sadness at the loss of Marsh due to a heart attack. A few hours later he suffered a heart attack himself and also passed away.

Two giants of the game. Horrible news.

RIP Shane Warne
RIP Rod Marsh
