I believe Freya and Liv are playing dubs together.

Not Jodie and Liv ? I see Lou Brouleau who partnered Freya last week was a late withdrawal here.

I was actually only refering to the singles, as I was fully expecting Liv, Freya and Jodie to be in the doubles, but possibly not Maia

Indeed, no doubles for Jodie this week.

L16:- Barbara Gatica (CHI) / Rebeca Pereira (BRA) CR 674 (337+337) v Freya Christie (GBR) / Olivia Nicholls (GBR) CR588 (192+396)

Main draw is out. Jodie has a WC up first and then potentially that Samir who was #2 seed last week and Olivia pushed reasonably close in R1. She could play Haddad Maia in the QF if they both make it that far. Maia in the other half (top) and has a Q up first.

GB based Lily has the #4 seed up first (and they could play Haddad Maia in R2).

By the skin of their teeth, Freya and Olivia take the doubles 11-9 in the MTB

Great win for the nearly British Lily Miyasaki in a rare appearance outside UK. Lily beat 4th seed Jessica Ponchet by 6-1, 7-6 and takes on Haddad Maia next.

^ very likely to, nothing is a given with what happened to Djok the other day, ha, but yes, nice to see her take her UK form to overseas events against higher ranked players.

Any particular reason she does so little travelling?

Actually from what I can see, historically she has travelled quite a lot. It's more just since covid arrived, like many other British based players she has got back into the swing in British events on offer and is only now going for a foreign event.

Maia underway. They've exchanged breaks, *1-1.

That same FB channel that showed the Portugal W15 where Amanda got to the SF seem to be covering this event as well:

www.facebook.com/raquetc

They have had all the 'Court 2' matches thus far (inc doubles and quals), but the match involving Garcia Perez (on that court) doesn't seem to be on at the moment. Jodie is on that court a little later against her local WC, so she may have a live stream.
