Finalists will be added to this thread as they arise. Plan, subject to change as appropriate, is to include the following in the final vote
Players of the month and runners up for each month - Jan, Feb, Mar, Jun/Jul, Aug, Sep, Oct, Nov, (Dec tbd)
ATP and WTA top British singles players
ATP and WTA top British doubles players
ITF mens and womens top ranked singles players
Two additional players with most nominations for PoM over the season.
I reckon we could end up with a maximum of 24 players (at time of writing) but any duplicates (eg top ranked player also winning PoM one month) will be taken out.
Ongoing qualifiers list to be maintained below
If anyone has any suggestions on whether the field should be changed in some way, please shout but I will go with this structure for now.

Interesting for me when you look at the list above is how no player has come up in player of month top players twice. It's like players are having breakout weeks and then the doldrums, little consistency. Be interesting to see if any player can push on with a prolonged spell over the next few months before the year end.

Not sure if its been an issue but I would delibrately not vote for a player if they are already in the end of year final unless they really do something amazing.
Each to their own. I still treat each month as an open competition for that month. Though as Jon indicated, it has generallyl been new players making theur mark each month.

Like Indy, I tend to treat each month separately and I think most folks probably dont look at this thread and use it to form a view on voting! But as Indy says, not a problem and how we all vote is down to personal choice, there is no issue at all in having different thought processes going into it...

of the 37 nominations, 34 of them have a first name beginning with a letter in the first half (A to M) in the alphabet, just 3 of them dont.
That is an amazing skew. Does it reflect a early letters bias in the tennis world or maybe show the middle classes use earlier letters to name their off spring?
I had noted down Emilie Lindh as our top ITF ranked player and she still is ...but Live Rankings are calling her Emilie Lindh Gallagher. Has that always been the case and I just hadnt spotted it or is it a name change of some sort?
