Regarding halogen lighting. Haven't played for quite a few years but now getting on a bit need the exercise as often as possible, however suddenly discovering probably like many others down the years, that it's almost impossible to see the ball properly when serving and when switched on in the evenings, which is a bit of a non starter and downer.
Whilst my local club does have outdoor courts they unfortunately have a black bitumen like surface with very sharp edges which to be honest are lethal if you fall over yet seniors still play on them. One elderly player only a couple of years ago unfortunately falling over his face soon covered in blood as well as his legs, so as en tous cas courts seem non existent these days probably grass too it leaves very little other options....?
Be interested to hear anyone's experiences of playing indoors when the lights are switched off during the day, whether sunny or cloudy....
