I think Katie announced a little while ago she did not want to risk playing in the US Open because of Covid.

But bearing in mind it includes 16 of what would be qualifiers....

Ah ha, I was forgetting that there are 120 DAs. So not too many pulled out so far.

Harriet is now something like 10 out from main draw with plenty of those 10 playing on clay right now and very unlikely to want to travel to play on hard. I assume she didn't enter and there's no way to do so now..

Normally, I don't think you enter the main draw of a Slam. You are entered and it is for you to withdraw, as some clearly have on this occasion and yes no doubt more will. Either way Harrriet is showing on the alts list on tennisforum, indicating that for now she is in the queue.

Indeed, I now see that there is a copy there of what looks like the initial official list with Harriet among the alts.

Jay Clarke is in main draw of Ostrava. Broady on alts for both challengers but probably staying in Italy for Cordenons.

It's the following week, Kitzbuhel, but Kyle is an alt there. I'll put up a separate thread for the w.c 7th september.

From what I can pick up Harriet is now about 6 out -  Strycova out, Dolehide, Arcanado, and Osuigwe all have wildcards. This also assumes that all those players currently playing on clay in Prague are going - Tsurenko, Kostyuk, Wickmayer, Martincova. I think Harriet should pack her bags!
